GoDaddy 20 Year Customer Review
I'm a 20 year customer, who has paid thousands over the years and wanted to talk to a manager in Billing about my whole account. The first person, Brandon Lewis, was very unprofessional and his answers seemed unsure. When I asked for his manager in Customer Service, he kept delaying and was difficult. I explained I was frustrated and just wanted the manager to talk about the account. He finally agreed and went to his manager Shari. Her response was 'if you'd like to delete your account go ahead.' Unbelievably the worst service interaction. Need to find another company.
Wouldn't give me a refund even with a good reason
I'd give them one star but I did deal with a great customer service rep, and I got a refund for my domain when it auto renewed. But, they will not refund the Microsoft 365 email thing that I didn’t ask for because it’s 7 days after it started. My father just died and I didn’t get to my emails until recently, nor have I ever used this service so you’d think they could help me out, but no. Avoid this company.

My honest opinion is that trying to do things just by email isn't efficient. I had such a hard time with back and forth corrections. Once I got Maria on the phone my whole experience changed. They charged me twice for a domain renewal
They charged me for a domain renewal two times, when I asked for answers basically the guy said something like... it's your fault because you paid twice for the same renewal. First payment was on the renewal date Jan 6 and then on Jan 12 the domain was turned off and the dashboard showed a message saying the domain renewal had to be paid again. In a rush trying to fix the problem the payment was done and an hour later finding out I had paid for that before I tried to get my money back but Godaddy with his "award winning" customer service basically said no. I got all my domains out of there.
I've been using GoDaddy Website Builder for 3 months, problems from day one
I’ve been using the GoDaddy Website Builder for around 3 months, and I’ve had problems from the start. I've contacted live chat support over and over to try to fix these issues, but not a single problem has been properly fixed. I've contacted support more than 20 times and wasted so many hours talking to agents. While a few were nice and tried to help, most were either rude or didn't know the platform. Unfortunately, even the helpful agents were still not able to fix my issues. My main problems are: Product options get mixed up on their own, and deleted products still show up on the live site. I have asked for a refund many times, but I keep being told that these issues are “not covered” under their policy. I have four other websites with GoDaddy that work fine. This experience has made it clear GoDaddy’s website builder is not good for e-commerce anymore. It’s time to take my business somewhere else, probably to Shopify. Overall, this has been a very bad experience, and I regret choosing GoDaddy for this.
24hr chat but they give different advice
GoDaddy offers a 24hr help chat but they give inconsistent help and advice. This led to a delay in finding out about their products and for me to realize GoDaddy is not good for my small business. They would not let me turn off the automatic VAT at checkout on shipping and my products, and as I am not a VAT registered business I am not allowed to charge VAT. Because I was just past 30 days of my purchase I lost my money when I cancelled. This could have been avoided if guides knew GoDaddys policies better. There is no clear help or policy, on what is otherwise a very easy website builder.

What made my service so great was working with Shawn. He was AMAZING! He was very professional and knew exactly how to fix my problem. I had been having trouble getting into my business emails for months, going back and forth between GoDaddy and Wix working with codes and different things. It was a nightmare. I was almost at the point of giving up and closing everything down. So I decided to try one more time and I am so glad I did. I got to speak with Shawn who was a godsend. He talked me through every move and explained why certain things did not work before. By the time I got off the call with him, I felt happy and encouraged. He knew his job well. I wish I could talk with him every time I had a problem. He gave me some instructions on what to do if I had any problems later.
