Physical activity can improve survival in breast cancer patients. Women with the disease who regularly engaged in physical activity reduced their risk of death. The greatest benefit was seen in those who exercised the equivalent of walking three to five hours a week at a moderate pace – a halving of the risk of death from breast cancer.
